Enjoying the trails in Windsor

We went for a lovely afternoon hike (they snow-shoed) with Michael’s parents today. It was a stunning winter day, there was a clear blue sky, it was a reasonable temperature, and there was barely even a breeze. I joked “despite its name, it’s never windy in Windsor.”—Today was no exception. My coat remained unzipped, and my gloves were stashed away in my pockets before long.

Walking across the back of the Dill Family Farm.

There’s lots of cute half frozen ponds in here. I imagine squirrels and chipmunks figure skating when we’re not around. Picture their tails as they pirouette. Lovely.

I’m not traditionally a lover of winter, but I’m making an effort of getting to know her a little better this year.
